Policies for My Heart Home Solutions Independent Living

My Heart Home Solutions offers peaceful, supportive, independent living homes where adults can rebuild stability, confidence, and independence. Our policies reflect the heart of our community—respect, safety, and compassion—and help ensure that everyone who lives here feels protected, valued, and welcomed.

Community Conduct

Residents help create a calm, welcoming atmosphere by speaking to one another with kindness and respect. We ask everyone to be mindful of their tone, words, and actions so the home remains a place where people feel safe and supported.

Zero Tolerance for Racism or Discrimination

Every person in our home deserves dignity. Racism, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior toward anyone based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, or immigration status is not allowed. Protecting each other’s humanity is a core part of living in community.

Safety and Violence Prevention

We maintain a peaceful environment by prohibiting physical violence, threats, intimidation, or weapons of any kind. Safety is a shared responsibility, and we support one another in keeping the home secure.

Substance Use

To ensure a stable and healthy environment, illegal drugs and alcohol are not permitted on the property. Prescription medications must be used responsibly and never shared.

Cleanliness and Shared Spaces

Everyone contributes to the comfort of the home by keeping personal rooms and shared areas clean and orderly. Common spaces are for everyone’s use, and we ask that they be left in good condition after each use.

Privacy and Personal Boundaries

We respect each resident’s personal space, story, and emotional boundaries. What is shared within the home stays within the home, and everyone deserves to feel safe and unpressured in their living environment.

Visitors

Visitors are not allowed. This helps us maintain a consistent, private, and secure space for all residents.

Program Participation

Residents are required to take part in case management, attend scheduled appointments, and actively work toward personal goals that support long‑term independence and housing stability.

Policy Enforcement

Serious violations—such as violence, illegal activity, or racist or discriminatory behavior—may lead to immediate discharge. Other concerns may be addressed through supportive conversations, reminders, or behavior agreements, depending on the situation.
